Goulburn Valley Library is hosting activities over the school holidays.

Design, decorate and make your own paper spinner at Shepparton Library on Thursday, July 6 at 11am, and Tatura Library on Thursday, July 13 at 2pm.

Transform paper chains into a rainbow serpent puppet. Draw designs on each strip of paper to make your serpent unique at Mooroopna Library on Wednesday, July 5 at 11am.

Scrunch and colour to make your own masterpiece any time in the school holidays during opening hours at the Shepparton, Mooroopna and Tatura libraries.

Naidoc Week Colouring Competition

Come in to any Goulburn Valley library during opening hours and work on your NAIDOC Week colouring competition. Take a picture home, colour it in and drop it back to the library by July 16. All winners will be notified.

Launch of the 60th issue of tamba magazine

A bumper edition of poetry and prose, the 60th issue celebrates 25 years of the publication by Goulburn Valley Writers’ Group of the literary magazine tamba.

Join in the launch of this milestone edition at 11am on Sunday, July 9 at Shepparton Library, 41 Marungi St.

Everyone is welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.

Cuppa and Craft

Come to Shepparton Library from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Thursday, July 20 to make some gorgeous mosaic plates. These plates are easy and fun to make, and are a pretty and captivating decoration.

Dungala-Kaiela Writing Awards

The 2017 Dungala-Kaiela Writing Awards are now open. This competition is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a connection to our region.

There are 11 sections to enter, and all entries must be received by August 31, 2017.
