New Inner Wheel Club of Shepparton committee members (back) Belinda Liggins, Coralie Francis, Noela Laws, Annette Orrman, Val Young, (front) Della Metzke, Dawn Morden and Joy Thomas.

Inner Wheel Club of Shepparton members gathered at the Pines Motel, Numurkah Rd, Shepparton on Monday for their annual changeover luncheon.

Seventeen women and five men attended the ‘‘fun, entertaining and enjoyable’’ lunch which was held to induct new committee members for 2017-18.

‘‘We meet monthly in different members’ homes, hearing from guest speakers but this luncheon was a bit special,’’ member Ruth Shellie said.

Mrs Shellie said the social group existed to raise money for local and international projects including water fountains in India.

‘‘I’ve been in the group from the start, 32 years ago and one of the main goals of it is friendship,’’ she said.

Inner Wheel is one of the largest women’s voluntary service organisations in the world.

Established in 1924, the group now has more than 100000 members across 103 countries.
