Good old-fashioned service

By Seymour Telegraph

Unless you’re in the business of renovating and selling homes you probably haven’t had the chance to change your curtains or blinds before.

Most last around 20-30 years, depending on whether they’re used inside or outside, and so if chosen wisely they’re going to be there for a long time.

Mayfair Drapes have been operating in the Seymour area for around 11 years and offer a wealth of experience.

They service homes as far as Alexandra and Murrindindi, as well as Seymour, Broadford, Kilmore and Nagambie.

Owner Bruce Story said, ‘‘We just try to do good old fashioned service’’.

‘‘Often when people are renovating they’ll do one room at a time, so we can do that and be back in six months to do another room.’’

‘‘And it doesn’t matter whether they’re in Alexandra or in town [in Seymour].’’

Mayfair Drapes produce all of their drapes, sheers and curtains in their showroom on Emily St.

All of their blinds are Australian made and come from local suppliers.

‘‘Often there is no one perfect covering,’’ Mr Story said.

‘‘We’ll spend as much time as needed talking about the positives and negatives of different fabrics and products so that people can make the best decision.’’

‘‘We deal with everybody, whether they’re a young couple moving into their first home, renovators, or people who’ve been living in the same house for a long time and their blinds are due for an update.’’

Mayfair Drapes installs and services all curtains, blinds, sun drops and even verandah blinds. They provide free, no-obligation, measure and quotes.

Their selection of drapes is so big it won’t fit in just one van so pop into their showroom on Emily St to see the full range or phone 57992801.
