Shy but sweet

The Shepparton Animal Shelter has a number of animals currently up for adoption.

Each week we feature one special pet that is being housed at the shelter awaiting its new home.

This week we met sweet-natured Missy who is looking for a new family.

Missy is an eight-month-old tricolour Dachshund cross.

She has a timid nature, and can be nervous when meeting a new person or another dog.

Because of this, she is looking for an owner who is home often and is understanding of her shy personality.

Her new owner would have to be prepared to socialise with her, giving her plenty of love and attention when she gets scared.

Missy is ideally suited to a single-dog household.

Does it sound like Missy could fit in to your home perfectly?

If so, she could be yours for $320, which includes her vet check, vaccination, microchip, flea and worm treatment, desexing and Greater Shepparton City Council registration.

To find out more about Missy, phone the Shepparton Animal Shelter on 5832 9700. The shelter, at 125 Wanganui Rd, Shepparton, is open weekdays from 9.15am to 4.30pm.
