Council seeks entries for Goulburn Valley foodie booklet

By Shepparton News

Greater Shepparton City Council is looking for eateries’ input to create a publication showcasing the diversity and quality of food in the Goulburn Valley.

The council first floated Greater Shepparton Eats last year and is in the marketing phase, looking for general interest in the project.

Council’s neighbourhoods manager Amanda Tingay said project was developed as an opportunity to let all of Australia know how good the food is in Greater Shepparton.

‘‘We are so fortunate to have amazing food establishments that offer a unique dining experience,’’ Ms Tingay said.

‘‘We are Victoria’s food bowl, with 25 per cent of Victoria’s agriculture generated here with significant Aboriginal heritage and a long history of migration.’’

When asked about application deadlines or specific plans, council did not comment.

Online advertising suggested they would be used for food-related digital publications and more.
